Massia to set up independent cell for women entrepreneurs

Aurangabad, July 9:

To encourage women entrepreneurs in the industrial sector, the Marathwada Association of Small Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSIA) has decided to set up an independent cell for women entrepreneurs. The decision was taken in a meeting held at Massia hall, Waluj here today.

Giving more information, Massia president Narayan Pawar said, the industrial area in Aurangabad currently has a conducive environment for new industries. But even today, women entrepreneurs are not as involved as they should be. Hence to encourage women entrepreneurship in the industrial sector, enable them to operate, find new opportunities and to deal with difficulties in running industries at the administrative level, it is planned to set up a separate women entrepreneur cell. Camps will be organised to inform them about the industrial policy, seminars of successful women entrepreneurs as well as exhibitions will be held to help them market their products. Also, in order to enhance the quality of work of women working in the industry, it was decided to hold training camps. The women members present at the meeting expressed confidence that the cell will help women entrepreneurs to acquire new technology and skills. Massia vice president Anil Patil, secretary Gajanan Deshmukh, Chetan Raut, Rahul Mogale and others were present.
