Maximum fine for littering in the industrial area

Most of the factories in the industrial area are closed at night due to which there is no traffic on the roads, and the movement of people is also less. Taking advantage, waste is being dumped in the open space in the industrial areas. Hence the Marathwada Association of Small Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSIA) has appealed not to throw the garbage in the industrial area and also warned those not abiding by rules will be fined heavily.

MASSIA has been implementing the ''Clean, Beautiful and Green MIDC'' mission in Chikalthana industrial area for the last two years. More than 700 truckloads of garbage have been removed and cleaned under the sanitation campaign. Also, with the cooperation and participation of big industries in the area, green covers have been developed in the open spaces. All the industries in the region have participated in the ''Clean, Beautiful and Green MIDC'' initiative to protect the environment and benefit social health.

Every effort is being made to keep the industrial areas clean and green with the efforts of industrialists and municipal corporation. Yet some people throw garbage in the open. Employees of the municipal solid waste management department are taking punitive action against such offenders and efforts are being made to maintain cleanliness in the area. MASSIA has appealed to the people not to throw garbage near the street or open space in the industrial area. Otherwise, they will have to face punitive action by the municipal corporation.

The association has also appealed to the entrepreneurs to be aware and prevent illegal dumping, said Massia president Abhay Hanchanal, Kiran Jagtap, Bhagwan Raut, Vinay Rathi, Sachin Gaike, Sumit Malani and others.
