MIDC calls for list of workers over 45 years of age

Aurangabad, April 10:

Industrial associations had recently submitted a proposal to the district administration regarding the mass vaccination of industrial workers. Accordingly, on Saturday, MIDC appealed to submit a list of workers and industrialists over 45 years of age by Monday.

CII Marathwada Zone chairman Raman Ajgaonkar said that corona infection is increasing every day. The district administration has imposed a two-day complete lockdown. Industrialists are worried as the infection might continue to grow. Even if the industries are in production, it is not possible to predict what situation they might face in future. So most of the industrialists tend to fulfil the orders that are currently on hand. Although the markets are currently closed, it has not affected production. Industrial associations had taken initiative for corona testing and had set up camp at Waluj, Chikalthana industrial area at their own cost. Accordingly, a few days ago, a proposal was made to the district administration on behalf of the industrial associations to vaccinate all workers, employees and officers. Accordingly, on Saturday afternoon, MIDC has appealed to submit the list of workers and industrialists above the age group of 45 years within two days. Accordingly, the list will be submitted to MIDC by Monday, said Ajgaonkar.

Ajgaokar said that 20-25 companies in Waluj, Chikalthana and Shendra have staff above the age group. While other industries have less manpower in the age group of more than 45 years. So there will be no stress on the health administration for vaccination in the camp. Currently, the majority of workers, employees, officers and owners have been vaccinated.
