MSBSHSE Divisional office receives 54 proposals for exam centres

Aurangabad, Feb 24:

The Aurangabad division office of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) received proposals from 54 schools to become centres for SSC and HSC examinations.

The team of the State Board verified all the proposals. MSBSHSE divisional secretary Sugta Punne said that the decision would be taken after taking the opinions of the deputy director (divisional education) and the education officer.

The SSC-HSC examinations would be held in April-May this year. A total of 65,011 SSC candidates and 55,171 HSC candidates from the district have registered for the examinations. The divisional office of the State Board had invited application forms for the new examination centres.

A committee comprising officers, branch chief, divisional secretary, education officer (secondary) carries out inspection of the schools before allotting the centre. The committee examines seating and bench arrangements and the distance of the centre.

The decision would be taken on receiving the final report from the panel.

The 54 proposals are from five districts of the division. Of them, 30 are from Aurangabad alone. Some of the schools which faced action for mass copying in the examinations last year too applied afresh for the centre.
