MSEDCL restores power supply in two and a half hours

Heavy rainfall amid stormy wind forced the residents staying in localities around Aurangpura and Samarthnagar to live without power for two and a half hours, today evening.

The trees fell upon the cables (of 11 KV capacity each) supplying power to the above places at around 4.15 pm. As a result, the areas surrounding Kranti Chowk police station, Vivekanand College, Bhagyanagar, old Central Bus Stand, Samarthnagar, Nirala Bazar, Sawarkar Chowk, Aurangpura, Gulmandi, Dalalwadi, Paithan Gate etc. plunged into darkness.

MSEDCL''s additional executive engineer Pravin Joshi, assistant engineer Satish Adhane, Mahesh Sonar, principal technician Syed Hameed, Paresh Satpute, senior technician Mateen Shaikh, Bhagwan Rahane, Sachin Wagh, technician Ganesh Usare and Imran Khan took the task on war-footing basis. The fire brigade personnel also helped in removing the trees lying on the cable.

The engineers and technical staff of MSEDCL''s Main Power House took efforts and succeeded in restoring power supply at 6.45 pm in the above areas.
