Mud and rain water giving hardship to citizens in Cidco Waluj area

Aurangabad, June 18:

After heavy rains, residents in Cidco Waluj area face tremendous inconvenience as rain water accumulates on the road. Walking through mud and water gives a hard time to vehicle owners and pedestrians.

The Cidco administration has reserved a plot of land in the area for building a stadium. During heavy rains, sand and rain water from this plot gets washed away on the main road leading to Maratha Chowk. The citizens of Shriramnagar and Cidco have to tread through large amount of mud while travelling. The stagnant puddles of water damage the road and cause large pot holes. The mud causes motorists to slip thus increasing risk of getting injured. Often heavy vehicles get stuck in the mud. Residents Tukaram Navale, Suresh Ghule, Babasaheb Jadhav and others said that the citizens have to take detours as mud and water accumulate on the roads. Aggrieved citizens have lodged a complaint with Tisgaon deputy Sarpanch Nagesh Kuthare and Cidco administration and demanded that the issue be resolved. Assistant engineer Kapil Rajput said that a solution would be worked out soon to ensure that mud and water do not accumulate on the roads.
