Municipal administration saves land worth crores in Nandanvan Colony

Aurangabad, July 7:

A racket has been active in the city to grab government and municipal land. The members are using old documents to claim ownership of the land. Some people had tried to claim ownership of the 12,000 square feet of land in the Nandanvan Colony area. As soon as the administration got the information, the entries on the PR card were transferred into the name of the municipal corporation.

Yasin Khan Mohammad Khan, the owner of the plot in survey no 29, 30 in Nandanvan Colony, got the layout approved by the municipal council. The 12,000 square feet of open space in this layout was transferred to the municipal council. The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) did not take note of the plot after the municipal council was dissolved. The documents in the land records department had the name of the original owner. So his heirs sold the space to two different people. A proposal no 3619 was filed on April 16, 2014 for registering the land. A second proposal 3743 was filed on August 28, 2014. The municipal administration filed an appeal in the court of the district superintendent of land records against this illegal move. The court ordered to cancel the name of the original owner in municipal survey no 734 and to name the corporation. Under the guidance of corporation deputy commissioner Aparna Thete, adv Gajanan Mapari oversaw the work.
