Muslim brethren come forward for last rites of Hindu boy

Aurangabad, April 21:

Setting an example of communal integrity, some Muslim brethren came forward to perform the last rites of a Hindu boy in the city on Wednesday. A handicap son of a Bengali artisan living in the city died naturally today. However, there were no one to help him to perform the last rites and take him to the crematorium. They performed the last rites as per the Hindu tradition on the boy.

According to the details, A Bengali gold artisan, Dulal Ghodai is living in Sarafa area for the past 25 years. He has two sons and one of them is 15 years old handicap son Sumoh Ghodai. He was on the bed for the due to illness. He died on Tuesday (April 20) morning. There were no relatives to perform the last rites on Sumoh. Ghodai even did not had the Aadhar Card due to which he could not make the medical papers at the Hospital. He was not getting permission at the crematorium due to lack of papers. Dhodai told about his misery to his friend Noor Islam Shaikh, who is also a native of Kolkotta. He contacted social worker Alim Baig and told him about the incident. Then, he received permission from the municipal corporation for the last rites. After conducting the rituals as per Hindu tradition, the body was taken to the Kailasnagar crematorium. Ghodai said that Noor Islam, Ali Baig are not just my friend but my brothers.
