Muslim organizations oppose lockdown

Aurangabad, March 28:

The common people and the traders faced the wrath of Corona crisis last year. Now, the lockdown for the eight days again will make their lives miserable. The working class earning bread and butter on daily basis will be hampered more due to lockdown. Hence, several Muslim organizations in the city have demanded that the district administration should consider the decision of lockdown again. A delegation of the officials of these organization will meet the district collector in this regard.

A meeting in this regard was organized at the house of former corporator Iliyas Kirmani on Sunday. Various representatives of Muslim organizations were present.

The lockdown for eight days will hamper the lives of people. The dignitaries present during the meeting discussed this issue and there were seen two different opinions on this issue during the meeting. Some said that there is need of lockdown due to Corona crisis and we should not oppose the first lockdown and we will oppose if the administer impose another lockdown after that. The officials called the district collector Sunil Chavan on phone and told him their opinion. A delegation of ten representatives will meet him and will request him to reconsider the decision. Iliyas Kirmani, Kadir Maulana, Salim Siddique, Wajed Engineer, Iqbal Ansari, Rashid Maulana, Mashu, Moin Hashar, Masiuddin Siddique and others were present during the meeting.
