New virus or same old Corona

Aurangabad, Dec 28:

The swab samples of the two Corona patients returned from England have been sent to the National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune. It will be clear after the reports are received whether they are infected with the new Strain Corona Virus or the same old virus. Hence, the health machinery is eagerly waiting for the reports now.

A woman and a youth came from England were reported Corona positive. Their samples were sent to the NIV Pune. However, there has been a delay in receiving the reports due to the holidays recently. It is expected that the report can be gain in the next two days.

The Government Medial College and Hospital (GMCH) dean, Dr Kanan Yelikar said, the samples have been sent to NIV, but the reports have not been received, she said.

District Civil Surgeon, Dr Sundar Kulkarni said, presently there is only one patient at the District Civil Hospital (DCH), who have returned from England and his condition is stable, he said.
