NGO demands to construct toilets for women

Aurangabad, July 22:

The city-based NGO, Rani Laxmibai Mahila Kalyan Mandal, has urged the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to construct toilets for female citizens and others, on the Development Plan road, extending from Begumpura to Kiradpura.

In a memorandum addressed to the AMC administrator, the NGO secretary Shaikh Sakina Afreen underlined that many establishments, shops, and commercial areas fall on the above road, of length 5-6 km, but due to absence of the toilets, especially the female citizens had to face severe inconvenience when they are out of their homes for essential works. The NGO has requested to identify suitable open spaces to construct toilets for women as well as men (of the plastic body) at different places, falling on the road, like Begumpura, Buddi Lane, Town Hall, Chelipura, Roshan Gate, Kiradpura, etc., stated the release. Senior Congress activist Mohsin Ahmed also seconded the demand of the NGO.
