Aurangabad, Oct 20: The meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) was held on Monday to implement the schemes of the Central and State Governments in the district. However, no concrete decisions were taken in the meeting to give impetus to various schemes.
The meeting reviewed the centrally sponsored schemes for Agriculture Irrigation, Ujwala Gas, Pramod Mahajan Skill Development, Water Supply, CM Rural Drinking Water, Municipal Council Water Supply, Jal Jeevan Mission as well as availability of broadband facilities under Gram Panchayat wise telecom scheme. The revival of the Employment Guarantee Scheme, the establishment of new self help groups of the poorest of the poor, under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission, is currently neglected.
Organizing of bank loan fairs under the Maharashtra State Rural Livelihood Mission, Mumbai for self help groups, self employment training under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchan Yojana, Digital India Land Records Modernization Program, National Social Assistance Program, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, National Rural Drinking Water Program, Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Mission, National Health Mission, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and many other schemes. However, no issues related to the beneficiaries of the scheme were discussed at the meeting.
Several schemes stalled
The people do not get gas connections in their circles as per the demand under Ujwala Yojana. Accidents are on the rise due to poor condition of roads in the district. No decision has been made yet on when the pending works will be completed immediately. Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran''s rural water supply schemes have come to a standstill.
