Patient confused over once positive, twice negative tests report

Aurangabad, April 24 :

A former gram panchayat member of Pachod had to face a lot of inconvenience because of confusion over her COVID test report at Rural Hospital.

The test of lady GP member Sanjivni Narale was carried for three days. She was found positive once and negative twice in three different tests on three days.

She and her family members had to face inconvenience because of this.

Sanjivni Narale went to Rural Hospital on April 20 for the RT-PCR test.

The report was made available on April 21 and she was found positive.

She was on learning about the report. She did her antigen test, a report of which was negative. Not believing in the antigen test, Sanjivni went for the RT-PCR test the next day. This time around, her report was negative.

This has brought to light the irresponsible attitude of the health department.

The patient was confused as to which report should be considered correct. Her family members were in fear between April 21 and 24 because of the change in the report. They, too, decided to stay in isolation in the home as part of precautionary measures.

Sanjivni and her husband Rahul Narale demanded an enquiry about the confusion in the test report.
