PET notification to be issued on Dec 30

Aurangabad, Dec 28:

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) will issue a Ph D Entrance Test (PET) notification on December 30.

Vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole informed this to Senate meeting held on Monday. He said that the registration process would commence from the New Year.

The PET will be conducted in February or March while the presentation before the research and recognition committee will begin in April. The whole process would be implemented online.

“All those who passed the test cannot get a guide. The seats will be allotted with the availability of research guide and research centres,” he said.

It was brought to the notice that deans are not giving time to Senators like Shaikh Zahoor.

A member Sanjay Nimbalkar said that the RRC of only one student was conducted during the last 11 months and 1700 cases were not yet settled.

Replying to this, dean Dr Bhalchandra Waykar said that only a few cases are pending.

Sunil Magre said that if the members are not getting replies on time what about students and others. VC Dr Yeole informed the members that such type of incidents would not happen in future.

Dr Satish Dandge said that the contract of conducting the online test should not be given to any private agency to save fund of the university.

He said that the task should be given to University Information Network Centre (UNIC).
