Police conducts mock drill

Aurangabad, Jan 10:

Considering the increased terror threats across the world, directives of precautions from the central security agencies, historic importance of the city and the increased influx of the foreign tourists, in the backdrop of the Republic Day ahead, the police had organized a mock drill of the Quick Response Teams (QRT) of various security agencies at Hotel Vivanta Taj on Saturday.

ACP (SB) Ashok Bankar said, during the mock drill, the co-ordination between various government departments were tested. Similarly, the response received from the QRTs during the suddenly occurred incidents was tested. During the drill, various issues like dispersing the crowd, tackling the rumors on the social media, traffic diversion, Naka Bandi, shifting injured to hospitals and other activities were done.

The QRT teams of Aurangabad City police, rural police, control room, fire brigade, Bharat Battalion, managing staff of Hotel Taj participated in the drill.

All the DCP, ACP, station incharges made the preparations and organized mock demonstrations of the bandobast. CP, Dr Nikhil Gupta co-ordinated all the activities from the control room.
