Police reach accused through stolen mobile phone

Network Aurangabad, Feb 17: An engineer from the city works at Palghar. In November, 2020 midnight, three robbers robbed him on the point of a knife, and the Crime branch police arrested one of these accused at Kiradpura on Wednesday afternoon. The police have launched a massive manhunt for the other accused. The arrested has been identified as Syed Naser Syed Taher 922, Rehmaniya Colony, Kiradpura). Police said, complainant, Radhesham Ratanlal Kumawat, (Gadiya Vihar) came to Aurangabad on 29, November, 2020 midnight from Palghar. After alighting from the autorickshaw near Government Dairy, he started walking towards Gaidya Vihar. Suddenly, three persons came near him and demanded money threatening him with a knife. The accused took Rs 4000 from his purse and his mobile phone. Kumawat lodged a complaint at the Jawaharnagar police station.

After four months of the incident, the Crime branch came to know that a woman is using the stolen mobile phone. Under the guidance of PI Avinash Aghav, the police team including API Ajabsingh Jarwal, constable Shivaji Zine, Rajendra Salunke, Vitthal Sure, Prabhakar Raut and others investigated and found that the sim card was registered in the name of Syed Naser. The police called him for investigation, and he came on the motorcycle used during the crime. He told police that he purchased the mobile phone from a person at Rs 1,000 at Central Bus Stand. When the police interrogated him strictly, he confessed that he and his two accomplices had committed this crime. He told the names of his accomplices and a massive manhunt has been launched for them, the police said.
