Police seize Parbhani DCH’s records in Remdesivir black marketing case

Aurangabad, May 7:

The Pundliknagar police in the Remdesivir black marketing case seize the records of the receipt and supply of the injections from the Parbhani District Civil Hospital (DCH). Similarly, the statements of the Covid ward doctors, employees and nurse wife of the arrested accused have been recorded.

The Pundliknagar police busted a racket of black marketing of the Remdesivir injections being sold at Rs 35,000 each, on May 4.

The police arrested Sandeep Appsaheb Chavali, Gopal Hiralal Gangwe and Madhav Ashok Shelke, husband of a nurse of Parbhani DCH. Shelke had confessed that he had stolen these injections from Parbhani DCH.

PSI Vikas Khatke and his team today went to Parbhani DCH with accused Shelke. They seized the records of the receipt and supply of the Remdesivir injections from the hospital. They also registered statements of the doctors, nurses, employees and nurse wife of Shelke. The district civil surgeon provided all the required information, informed the sources.

Meanwhile, the information about the patients admitted in the Covid ward between April 27 and May 4 was not received, but the civil surgeon assured that it will be sent by the post, the police said.
