Aurangabad, May 11:

On May 10, police registered 44 cases against 191 people who were wandering around the city for no reason in violation of the curfew imposed to break the chain of coronavirus infection. A fine of Rs 4.3 lakh was imposed on 1,073 motorists for violating traffic rules and not wearing masks.

Fix points are deployed at 54 places in the city to enforce the lockdown. One officer and ten constables are conducting checking at these points. On Monday, the police imposed a fine of Rs 4.3 lakh on 1,073 people for breaking traffic rules and not wearing masks. Assistant commissioner Ravindra Salokhe informed that 44 cases have been registered in various police stations under Sections 188, 279 and 270 against 191 citizens for violating the rule and leaving their homes without any reason.
