Aurangabad, April 15:

It has been made clear that the

salon owner Feroz Khan Kadir Khand did not die due to the manhandling by police

but himself fell down unconscious, from the CCTV footage, informed DCP Deepak

Girhe in a press conference on Thursday. He also mentioned that strict action

will be taken against the anti-social elements for providing false information against

the policemen to defame them.

It may be noted that PSI Pravin Wagh

and constable Sandeepan Dharme of the Osmanpura police station on Wednesday had

gone to take action against the salon for breaching the rules imposed to

restrict Corona pandemic. As the salon owner was not present, Wagh directed

Dharme to take necessary action and he went away from the spot. Later, the

owner Feroz Khan came there and suddenly fell down while discussing with the

police. He sustained head injuries and died. After this incident, his relatives

went to the Osmanpura police station with the dead body and alleged that he

died as the police beat him. A huge crowd was gathered at the police station.

The mob demanded that strict action should be taken against the policemen

responsible for the death of Feroz Khan.

Commissioner of police, Dr Nikhil Gupta went

there and transferred the policemen to the headquarters and directed crime

branch PI Avinash Aghav to conduct the investigation. Then the aggrieved mob

took the custody of the dead body. PI Aghav gained the CCTV footage of the

incident. It was found in the footage that Feroz was not manhandled by the

policemen but himself fell down unconscious. The nearby residents rushed him to

the hospital, DCP Girhe said.

Girhe said that in the post mortem report, it is said that the vein of his

heart was blocked and he fell down. He sustained head injury, it has been mentioned.
