Aurangabad, Feb 11:

“There is a positive change in portraying an image of women on social media in post-Novel coronavirus situation,” said Prof Jaidev Dole, a media expert.

He was speaking on Thursday, ten-day long lecture-series being held by Tarabai Shinde Women’s Study Centre of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) on the third day.

He said that women were depicted the many a time wrongly even though there is equality for men-women in the Constitution.

“Media houses run by capitalist or politicians are lagging behind up to some extent after COVID. There are good days for blogs and online channels being run by activist, thinkers and social workers. Given this, the issues of women, farmers and deprived classes are being raised effectively,” he added.
