Principals Association demands to solve problems

Aurangabad, Jan 19:

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada Univesity Principals Association demanded to solve their different problems.

In a memorandum submitted to the joint -director of Higher Education (Aurangabad division) on Tuesday, the association office-bearers stated that their pending demands should be filled.

Their demands included fixing their basic pay at Rs 43,000 as per the implementation of Sixth Pay Commission recommendations from January 1, 2006, seeking notional increment for principals as per the recommendations of Seventh Pay Commission, giving permission to the recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff members and clearing the confusion about principals retirement age for rural and city colleges.

Association president Dr Duttatray Aghav, principals Dr Haridas Vidhate, Dr Mazhar Farroqui, Dr M Dadasaeb, Dr Abubakar Bawazir and others signed the memorandum.

The association also submitted the copy of the memorandum to the vice-chancellor of the university.
