Residents demand laying of new water pipelines in localities around Harsul T-Point

Aurangabad, April 26:

Hundreds of residents staying in localities surrounding Harsul T-Point including Mayur Park, Safalyanagar, Mhasobanagar, Ghrishneshwar Colony, Bhagatsinghnagar, etc. have urged the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to lay new water pipelines of large width to provide adequate water supply to them on priority.

The residents claimed that their localities had been developed in the past two decades. They were assured of laying of the new pipelines, but after the transfer of the then municipal commissioner Om Prakash Bakoriya, the AMC seems to have shelved the proposal.

According to residents, they received a good quantity of water between 2012 and 2018. The supply got affected since then. The AMC is collecting water tax from us. The water level of bore-wells has also scaled down. The AMC is not paying heed to the memorandums submitted by the residents. The civic body failed to lay pipelines of large width. Hence immediate action in this regard is in need of the hour to resolve their inconvenience.
