‘Samuhik Gauseva: Ek Anushthan’ becomes a movement,Adv Kabra from Jalgaon propagates cause of protecting and taking care of cows

Aurangabad, April 14:

The ‘Gauseva: Ek Anushthan’, an initiative started by cow worshipper adv Vijay Kabra for nurturing and protecting cows in Jalgaon district in 2009 has become a public movement across the country now. He initially started taking care of the cows at a Gaushala at Panjarpol starting this movement, but now, several people have come forward for care of cows. People from all the religions including Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist and Parsi have joined this movement. Several people are providing their services for taking care of the cattle at Gaushala.

Speaking to Lokmat Times, Kabra said that several social workers, environmentalists, intellectuals, ascetics, mahatmas and gaubhaktas took efforts to stop the cow slaughter but the pernicious practise has not stopped. Every day, around 1000 cows are being slaughtered and the cattle are ruthlessly killed in the slaughterhouses. The nation will not prosper unless the cattle slaughter is not stopped.

Kabra appealed to the people to serve cows during festivals, birth and death anniversaries of the great men. Several people have responded to the appeal of Kabra and are following in his footsteps by taking care of the cattle in the Gaushalas.

Many officers, employees, doctors, engineers, chemists, CAs, Rotary, Lions Clubs, leaders, actors and sports persons have extended help to Kabra in his noble cause. They fed the cattle and provided nutritious green fodder, lapsi, Chana Dal, Sarki, and food grains.

Being an environmentalist, Kabra uses the cow dung and urine for the preservation of environment and reducing pollution. He has appealed to prime minister Narendra Modi to impose complete ban on the slaughter of cow and provide funds for the nurturing of cattle. He wishes that the initiative started by him in Jalgaon should not only be implemented in the state but also in the entire country.
