Schedule of night curfew revised to overcome health crisis

Aurangabad, March 17:

As an important measure to overcome the growing numbers of Covid-19 patients in the district, including the city, the district collector Sunil Chavan and the commissioner of police Nikhil Gupta have jointly issued an order revising the previous timings of night curfew.

Earlier, the night curfew was imposed from 9 pm to 6 am. However, from March 19 to April 4, the night curfew will be imposed from 8 pm to 5 am. Meanwhile, the medical services, newspapers, media services, sale and supply of milk, petrol pumps, gas agencies, all types of transport service (government and private), autorickshaws, constructions, industries, factories, bank and postal services will continue as per the norms. There is prohibitory order on a gathering of five persons or more than it. There should be no gathering of people without any emergency causes, warned the order.

Meanwhile, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation's (AMC) special task force, sanitary inspectors, ward officers, senior officers, police head constables, senior police officers, all officers and personnel from rural and urban development offices, revenue officials and personnel etc. are instructed about the implementation of the order. In the backdrop of the Covid-19, no complaint or petition would be entertained against any concerned officer or personnel, hinted the officials.
