Shani Jayanti celebrated in city

Aurangabad, June 10:

Devotees on Thursday prayed to Lord Shani to make the whole world free from Covid-19 on the occasion of Shani Jayanti.

The Shani temples in the city were opened for some time on Thursday. The oldest Shani temple in the city is at Kotla Colony. The idol of Lord Shani was decorated with colorful flowers. In the morning, devotees had gathered for darshan. Vendors were selling flowers, black dolls and ash gourd in the premises. Prasad was distributed at the temple in the afternoon. Aarti was performed at the temple in the evening.

An Abhishek was performed at Shani Mandir in Thackeraynagar, Cidco N-2. The idol was attractively decorated with flowers. Maha Aarti was performed by Shanisadhika Vibhashree Didi at 7 pm. The temple was opened for devotees for a short time. Shani Maharaj Janmotsav was celebrated at Shani Ashram in Chikalthana. A tel abhishek was done on the idol of Lord Shani at 10 am. Shanisadhika Vibhashree Didi recited the mantra and prayed for good health of the citizens.
