Shendra workers provided sufficient grains stock to prevent migration

Aurangabad, April 13:

Labourers and workers working in different industries of Shendra MIDC were given sufficient grain stock to prevent their migration considering possible lockdown in the State.

It may be noted that thousands of workers along with family members migrated to their native place due to lockdown last year. Many of them returned to the job after some weeks.

This year also, the number of patients is increasing day by day in the second wave of COVID.

Workers were worried as they will have to face a situation like last year, considering possible lockdown in the State Government.

Labour contractors provided grains and other facilities to workers from out of the State industrial estate to prevent migration. The labourers heaved a sigh of relief over this.

There are 3500 labours with 170 children work in 1200 industries of Shendra MIDC.

The labourers said that contractors made lodging and meal arrangement for them.
