Small traders facing hardship to recover outstanding

Aurangabad, April 9:

Many people are facing financial crisis due to the increased Corona pandemic. The small traders who have given articles on credit to the customers are facing hardship to recover the outstanding amount. Whenever they call the customers they refuse to pay stating the reason of Corona. Moreover, the companies are not ready to give the goods on credit to the traders now.

An electronic goods shopkeeper said that a customer had taken a gadget on credit. He is trying to get the money and calling the customer on phone for the past two weeks, but, the person is ignoring his calls. The similar situation are faced by several small traders.

Even the adat traders at the Jadhavwadi are facing the same problem. When they call for the outstanding amount, the person on the phone says that he is Corona positive and is being treated and he will pay the amount after some time.

It has become very difficult for the traders to get new articles and the companies are asking to clear the previous bills for taking the new order.

The president of the Zilla Vyapari Mahasangh, Jaggannath Kale said, the traders are facing difficulties while recovering the outstanding amount from the customers. The income sources of the traders have stopped as the shops are closed. The complaints about the recovery of the outstanding amounts are on the rise, he said.
