SP issues notice to API Taitwale

Assistant Police Inspector (API) of the Aurangabad Rural Police, Satyajeet Taitwale was injured in a fight incident. Still, he did not lodge an FIR in this regard and did not disclose it to the senior officers. Superintendent of Police (SP), Mokshada Patil has taken serious cognizance of the matter and issued a show-cause notice to Taitwale and order the sub-divisional officer Dr Vishal Nehul to investigate the matter.

Patil said, Taitwale while posted at Shiur police station, was on 10 days leave for the treatment of his father. He was injured in a fight in the city limits while on leave. There were several rumours spread about the incident. It was necessary to submit a FIR in the nearest police station in this regard. However, the FIR has not been submitted yet. Apart, the incident was not disclosed even to the senior officers. Such attitude is not accepted from a police officer. Hence, Taitwale has been transferred to Aurangabad Rural Police headquarters, and a show-cause notice has been served to him. The sub-divisional police officer Dr Vishal Nehul has been given orders to investigate in the matter, Patil said.

On January 1, API Taitwale had gone with his friends for dinner at a hotel behind Hotel Ramgiri on Jalna Road. There his friend quarreled with another customer. At the same time, Taitwale had a phone call, and hence he went out of the hotel talking on the phone on the Cidco Bus Stand to API Corner service Road. There around 7 to 8 persons attacked him with road in which he was seriously injured. The attackers then fled away from the scene.
