Students, parents worried over delay in 11th admission process

Aurangabad, Oct 25:

Students and parents are worried over delay in 11th admission process. There are 116 colleges with the intake of 31,465 within the jurisdiction of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).The application form has two parts.

A total of 19,543 students applied while only 16,404 students filed the second part. There were 8,740 candidates were found eligible for the first round while 6,100 of them confirmed the admission.Nearly 2,860 students were declared eligible for the second round.

The online admission process was halted on September 10 due to court matter of SEBC reservation. The Education Department has not made any announcement for the admission process for the past month.

The colleges demanded the Education Department to complete at least the second round process.Deputy director of Education Madhukar Deshmukh said that they had not received any instruction from the Government as the reservation matter is subjudice.

“The colleges will be informed about the admission on receiving instructions from the Government,” he said. The colleges will have a challenge to complete the syllabus as the first session will end soon.
