Study to be done to cancel 11th class online admission process

Aurangabad, March 4:

School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad announced that the decision to cancel the online admission process of 11th class in the city would be taken after considering the Novel coronavirus situation. She announced this in the State Legislative Council on Thursday when MLC Satish Chavan raised LAQ in the House.

MLC Chavan said that there are many shortcomings in the online admission process as city colleges have 54 to 50 per cent vacant during the last four years, while in rural, the number of candidates is double.

He also demanded action against the schools which admitted students beyond permitted intake. Replying to this, Varsha Gaikwad said that a study would be carried to cancel the online admission process taking into COVID situation.

She said that Satish Chavan has been pursuing the matter since last year.
