Aurangabad, March 22:

In a shocking development, the MLA and sitting director of Aurangabad District Central Co-operative (ADCC) Bank Haribhau Bagade has lost the Board of Directors' election (BoD) today. However, his panel's other candidates, including Nitin Patil (sitting chairman) and sitting director Abdul Sattar, won the elections, apart from the first-timers Satish Chavan and Ambadas Danve.

There was tough fight between Shetkari Vikas Panel (SVP)-led by Bagade and Shetkari Sahakari Bank Vikas Panel (SSBVP)-led by Kalyan Kale. There are 21 board of directors (BoD) in ADCCB. Hence the fate of 48 candidates in the fray was sealed by the voters on March 21. The election for 18 seats was held as two candidates were already declared as elected unopposed, while no nomination was filed from Personal Constituency. Of the total 1,114 voters, the voting percentage recorded was 93.90 per cent.
