Thousands of B Com 1st-yr students to be declared passed

Aurangabad, July 10:

Thousands of students of B Com first year will be declared passed within the jurisdiction of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu).

It may be noted that the university conducted the examinations of the undergraduate courses between March to May.

A total of 11,305 students appeared for the first year while 11,121 of them were declared failed in one subject named ‘Computer Application.’ The students and their parents were worried over the result.

Vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole called a meeting of the Board of Examinations (BoE) recently to discuss the matter.

Meanwhile, a delegation of Bhartiya Vidyarthi Sena and Yuva Sena raised the issue with the administration.

The university will give average marks to all the students to pass them in this paper.

The students' unions appealed to the students if they have a complaint about this paper should send a letter to the university through the principal. Perhaps the first time in the university’s history that such a large number of students would be declared passed.

Dr Tukaram Saraf, Rajendra Janjal, Sandeep Lingayat, Sagar Patil, Parag Kundwal and othes were present.
