TKU urge energy minister to settle long-pending demands

Aurangabad, June 12:

The Maharashtra Rajya Veej Tantrik Kamgar union (TKU) has submitted a memorandum drawing the attention of the state energy minister Nitin Raut towards their long-pending demands while he was in the city, yesterday.

The union demanded to fill up vacant posts in three power companies - MSEDCL, MSETCL, and MSEGCL, issue appointment letters to 5,000 electrical assistants, stop wastage of money on outsourcing of staff, launch welfare scheme to technical employees dying in accidents, remove backlog by granting promotions to backward class employees, etc.

The minister assured the delegation of holding a meeting with TKU office-bearers at Mantralay soon. TKU delegation led by general secretary Syed Zahirrodin comprises office-bearers R P Thorat, Kailas Gaurkar, Santosh Waghmare, Aziz Pathan, Shaikh Rafiq, Nandu Lokhande, and others.
