Tree plantation prog held in Azad College

Aurangabad, Feb 18:

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Maulana Azad College and All India Payam-e-Insaniyat (AIPI) jointly organised a tree plantation programme on Tuesday as part of 85th birthday celebration of Padmashri Fatma Rafiq Zakaria.

Deputy Collector Rita Maitrewar, Ashok Bankar (Assistant Commissioner of Police) and Junaid Farooqui from All India Payaam-e-Insaniyat were the chief guests.

College Principal Dr Mazahar Farooqui highlighted the need and significance of tree plantation.

J D Shaikh introduced the guests.

Dr Shaikh Kalimoddin conducted the proceedings of the programme, while Dr Shahela Yasmeen proposed a vote of thanks. The programme ended with Dua-e-Kalimaat by Musheer Nadvi.

After the programme, a total of 100 trees were planted. Vice-Principal Dr M A Bari, Dr Rajan Shinde, heads of the various departments, teaching and non-teaching staff were present.
