Two die in accident on Beed By-pass

Aurangabad, Jan 27:

Two cousins going on work on a motorcycle were crushed by a truck near Naiknagar Gate on Beed By-pass road on Wednesday at around 3 pm. After the incident, the outraged mob pelted the truck with stones and the glasses of the cabin were broken. As the mob was preparing to burn the truck, the police came and gained control over the situation. The deceased cousins have been identified as Sachin Kalyan Rathod (Naiknagar, Beed By-pass) and Nitesh Kundlik Pawar (32, Porgaon Tanda, Paithan, presently living at Shivajinagar). Both the cousins worked as JCB operator with Babaseth at Deolai. On Wednesday, Sachina and Nitesh were going towards Zalta on the motorcycle after crossing the entrance of Naiknagar on Beed By-pass road. At the same time, a speeding truck coming from Deolai Chowk towards Zalta Phata dashed their motorcycle and both the brothers were crushed under the tyres of the truck. The truck driver after the incident fled away from the scene after leaving the truck on the spot. Both the injured were lying in the pool of blood for around 15 minutes. The nearby residents informed about the accident to the police and the ambulance. On receiving the information, the police rushed to the spot and until then the relatives of the deceased had also arrived there. Meanwhile, Sachin and Nitesh were rushed to a private hospital but it was too late then. Both were taken to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where the doctors declared them dead after examination. The raged mob gathered there pelted the truck with the stones and broke the glasses in the cabin. The mob was about the set the truck on fire but the police intervened and consoled the mob. The traffic was jammed on the road for some time but the police regularized it. Nitesh is survived by a younger brother, wife and a two years old son while Sachin is survived by wife, 7 years old daughter and 4 years old son and two brothers.
