UG 2nd & 3rd yrs exams begin

Aurangabad, March 16:

The examinations second and third year of different undergraduate courses began within the jurisdiction of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University on Tuesday.

All measures of Novel coronavirus are being implemented at the examinations centres.

The students were given both offline and online options.

Those who opted offline were allotted examinations centre in their colleges while candidates with the online option are taking their papers from home through mobile or laptop.

A total of 1.27 lakh students have appeared for offline mode at 212 centres in Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, and Osmanabad. The stream-wise number of examinees as follows; Arts (27,341), Commerce (1,582), Commerce and Management (27,027), Management (267), Science (59,485), Technology (2185), and social sciences (182).

The examinations are being conducted in two sessions (morning and afternoon). A total of 15,583 students appeared online on the first day while 35,000 examinees were present at 212 centres for offline mode today.

Director of Board of Examination and Evaluation (BoEE) Dr Yogesh Patil said that 50,000 students took the examination on the first day.
