Unidentified man dies in accident

Aurangabad, June 14:

A pillion rider on a motorcycle died after a dash by a speedy truck from behind at Kamgar Chowk on Aurangabad - Nagar Highway on Monday afternoon. The deceased was dragged along the truck for around 25 feet but the rider was fortunately saved. The deceased has not been identified yet.

According to details, Shaikh Feroz and one more persons were going on the motorcycle (MH 41 AH 8742) from Kamgar Chowk towards Waluj area. A speeding truck laden with wire bundles going from Aurangabad to Pune dashed their motorcycle. Feroz was thrown away from the motorcycle while the pillion rider unidentified person was dragged along with the truck for around 25 feet.

The traffic police PSI Taher Patel, head constable Keshv Edhate, M R Ghote, Shivaji Chhadidar, Ravindra Kurewad, Manjeet Jadhav and others rushed the unidentified man to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). Shaikh Feroz was injured but fled away from the scene leaving the motorcycle. The police have arrested the truck driver Balbirsingh Sitaramsingh Bhating (25, Pune), informed Waluj MIDC police station PSI Rahul Nirval.
