Unidentified thieves broke open shutters of two companies in Waluj MIDC area

Unidentified thieves broke open the shutters of two companies and one fabrication workshop in Waluj MIDC area last night. They decamped with valuables like dies and raw materials worth lakhs of rupees. The theft came to light today morning.

The complainant Dharam Singh Sadanand Singh runs a tool room, S N Enterprises, in Waluj MIDC area. He closed the establishment on Tuesday evening. One tea vendor spotted the open and damaged shutter today morning and immediately informed the complainant. Singh visited the establishment and claimed that 14 dies (used to prepare auto parts) of valuing Rs 4-5 lakh and raw materials of Rs 1.5 lakh were missing from the place.

Later on, the thieves also broke open the shutter of one press shop next to the above tool room. Dnyaneshwar Kisanrao Gavande (a resident of Sarangpur) informed that the thieves had stolen 7-8 dies and two tons of raw materials. Later on, the thieves broke open the shutter of a fabrication shop, situated on Plot Number C-75, of Shaikh Saleem (a resident of Shajapur) and decamped with old welding machine, cutter, grinder and cable wire, all valuing around Rs 20,000.

Police inspector Madhukar Sawant, head constable Qayyum Pathan, Prakash Gaikwad, constables Nawab Shaikh, Vinod Pardeshi and others inspected the spots. The police went through the CCTV footage and found that the theft had taken place in the company at 1 am. The thieves would have transported the articles and valuables in small vehicles, it is said. Meanwhile, the process of filing offences was underway at Waluj MIDC police station till the evening.
