VC Dr Pramod Yeole gets 1 more patent

Aurangabad, Feb 25:

The Intellectual Property India granted a patent to the innovation of Dr Pramod Yeole, the vice-chancellor of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu).

Controller of Patent issued the certificate on February 24, 2021, for his innovation titled ‘Synthesis of Chitosan-Graft-HPBCD Copolymer by One Pot Synthesis Technique for Solubility Enhancement Ofeavirenz’, which was submitted in 2015.

His co-researchers are Aarti V Belgamwar and Dr Shagfuta A Khan. The patent was granted for 20 years. This is the second patient since joining his BAMU as VC. He received the first patent on March 2020.

Commenting on receiving patient, VC Dr Pramod Yeole said that the intellectual property cell would be strengthened to make research more qualitative.

“It is a matter of joy to get patent second time after taking charge of the post. The researchers and teachers have a good research attitude,” he added.

The VC is a President nominated member on Mahatma Gandhi International University’s Management Council and a member on the New Education Policy sub-committee.
