Waterline to be shifted before widening Harsul road

Aurangabad, Feb 9:

The widening of the road in Harsul village has been stalled for the last several years. This work will be started soon by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Prior to that, two water pipelines laid by the municipal corporation will be shifted. A budget of Rs 3.57 crore has been prepared for the work. The cost will be borne by the NHAI.

The work of four laning of Jalgaon road has been going on for the past few years. But the work has come to a halt as the issue of land acquisition of properties in the Harsul village is pending. Meanwhile, the NHAI has written to the municipal corporation instructing to prepare and send a budget for shifting the pipeline from Harsul T Point to the village. The cost will be borne by the NHAI, the letter said. Accordingly, the water supply department of AMC has prepared a budget of Rs 3.57 crore. The budget has recently been approved by administrator Astik Kumar Pandey. This work will be done under the supervision of the municipal water supply department. A 100 mm and 300 mm diameter pipeline will be shifted before the road works are completed.
