7 members of England's team test COVID-19 positive ahead of Pakistan series

The big news is coming ahead of the series between England and Pakistan. Seven members of the England squad have tested positive for COVID-19. This includes three players and four players from the management team. Other players have also come in contact with these players. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has issued an official press release.

Members found to be corona positive will have to go into isolation as per London government rules. Other members will also be in  isolation. The ECB have confirmed the Royal London ODIs and the Vitality IT20s against Pakistan will go ahead. Ben Stokes will return to England duties and captain the squad – which will be named in the next few hours.  

The ODI series will start on July 8 and the second and third ODIs will be played on July 10 and 13. After that, Twenty20 matches will be played on July 16, 18 and 20. England had announced the ODI squad for the series. But now that all the players have to go into isolation, the ECB will again announce a new team, led by Ben Stokes.
