Former left-arm spinner Mosharraf Hossain, who made sporadic appearance for Bangaldesh has been tested positive for Coronavirus. The 38-year-old, who underwent brain tumour surgery in Singapore  got cured after four months of care. Back in 2019, he was diagnosed with brain tumour, after he  fainted quite a few times and the problem was revealed through medical check-ups. Having last played competitive cricket back in February 2019, Rubel is gearing to make his comeback for the upcoming domestic season.

The recent health diagnosis comes as a major jolt for Hossain, who has elf-isolated himself at home  being tested positive for Coronavirus. The cricketer's father who has tested positive has been admitted in ICU. In June,  Mashrafe Mortaza and two other Bangladesh cricketers, Nazmul Islam and Nafees Iqbal, had tested positive for the virus. In five ODIs, Rubel picked up four wickets after making his debut way back in March 2008. In first-class, List A and T20s, the veteran has 392, 120 and 60 wickets respectively. He is also no mug with the bat, scoring over 5,000 runs in his career.
