Rajasthan Royals (RR) have suffered another blow as their pacer Andrew Tye has flown back home to Australia. Tye is the 4rd overseas player in the RR camp who has been ruled out. The Royals are already without the services of last season's MVP, Jofra Archer who has also been ruled out of the tournament. Earlier, Ben Stokes (finger injury) and Liam Livingstone (bubble fatigue) opt out of the tournament.

The Purple Cap winner of IPL 2018, Tye only played 6 matches for Punjab Kings in 2019. He moved to RR at his base price of Rs 1 crore. He only played one match in IPL 2020 in UAE. He went for 50 runs and scalped one wicket in the fixture. Despite that, the management retained him for IPL 2021. Jos Buttler, Chris Morris, David Miller and Mustafizur Rahman are the only four overseas players currently available for selection in the Royals squad. The Sanju Samson-led side is placed at the 6th spot with 2 wins from 5 matches. They only managed one win in their first four matches. RR's second win came against Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday. Royals next face defending champions Mumbai Indians in Delhi.
