Royal Challengers Bangalore have won the toss and have opted to bat first against Chennai Super Kings. With their team in complete disarray, MS Dhoni’s CSK will look to play for pride as the three time champions still have a mathematical chance of a playoff spot. CSK, with six points from 11 games cannot afford any more slip up.  RCB are placed third on the points table with 14 points, the same as the table-toppers Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals.

For Chennai Monu Kumar, the pacer from Jharkhand makes his IPL debut and Mitchell Santner has also been included in the side.  RCB opted for the spin option in Moeen than the pace of Udana which further strengthens their batting resources.  The spinners might have a bigger role to play in today's game and a total of 160-165 looks like a good total. The batters might not find it as easy before during the second innings.
