Ravichandran Ashwin and Hanuma Vihari bailed India from the jaws of defeat, after the duo batted 258 balls in a monumental effort to save the third test in Sydney. India were set a challenging target of 407 to win and lost their three wickets for just 102 on a tricky pitch. Cheteshwar Pujara (77 off 205), Ashwin (39* off 128) and Vihari (23* off 161) played the waiting game as they forced the aussies to think out of the box.
