Trouble seems to be mounting for Team India players in Australia after their restaurant visit in Melbourne. After being accused of violating COVID-19 norms, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant and few others have now landed in trouble for eating beef. As soon as the image of their lunch bill went viral, the players were brutally trolled on social media. Rohit & Co.'s outing turned out to be controversial as pictures of them eating indoors raised quite a few eyebrows. As per COVID-19 protocols, players can sit outdoors in restaurants and have to avoid getting in touch with anyone outside their bio-bubble environment. Defending the players, a BCCI official recently said, "The players were standing outside the restaurant and due to drizzle, they had gotten inside. If this is a way of trying to unsettle the team before the third Test, it's a bad ploy by Cricket Australia. The cricketers were placed under isolation to ensure that all members of the Indian and Australian squads remain safe. Both Cricket Australia (CA) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have launched an investigation to determine whether there have been a potential breach of biosecurity protocols.
