Royal Challengers Bangalore posted a competitive 152/7 in 20 overs against Delhi Capitals in the final round robin league game. RCB lost wickets in heaps as they could only muster 6 runs in the final over. Shivam Dube played a cameo but was dismissed by Kagiso Rabada after scoring a boundary. Anrich Nortje was the pick of the Delhi bowlers as he , dismissed the in-form Devdutt Padikkal for 50 and the dangerous Chris Morris in one over.
Virat Kohli was RCB’s second wicket as he was dismissed for 29 by R Ashwin with Marcus Stoinis taking a good catch in the deep. Josh Philippe was RCB’s first blow as he sliced a slower one from Kagiso Rabada and it flew to Prithvi Shaw. Shreyas Iyer’s Delhi Capitals won the toss and elected to bowl against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore. DC made three changes - bringing in Ajinkya Rahane, Daniel Sams and Axar Patel for Praveen Dubey, Shimron Hetmyer and Harshal Patel. RCB made two changes - replacing injured Navdeep Saini with Shahbaz Ahmed and also getting in Shivam Dube for Gurkeerat Mann.
