The runner up of last year Delhi Capitals continued their prolific form in the IPL as Rishabh Pant's side registered their first win of 2021. Chasing a target of 189, the Capitals got off to a bright start with Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw registering 50s at the top of the order. The openers added a valuable 138 runs for the opening wicket. Suresh Raina (54 off 36 balls) and Sam Curran (34 off 15) helped Chennai Super Kings post a competitive 188/7 in their 20 overs.
