Ruturaj and Faf put on a 115-run opening stand for the Chennai Super Kings after the three time champions were put into bat by the Kolkata Knight Riders. In the end, Dhoni's yellow army finished with 220 on the board. It was absolute maheym at the Wankhede with Faf du Plessis carting the bowlers all round the pack. In the end, the former proteas skipper ended up with 95 not out with four huge sixes, missing his first IPL ton by a whisker.  Nothing went KKR's way, except the toss as they ended up conceding 200+ for the second straight time. Earlier, Moeen Ali played a breezy innings with Jadeja finishing off the innings in style.

If it was Maxwell and ABD the other day, it was Faf and Dhoni today who made the life of KKR bowlers difficult. On a roll after back-to-back wins, vintage Chennai Super Kings will look to extend their winning run as they take on a struggling KKR in Mumbai. Desperate for a win after successive defeats, KKR skipper Eoin Morgan won the toss and invited Chennai to bat first at the Wankhede. Kolkata have also brought in Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Sunil Narine while Dwayne Bravo has been rested and Lungi Ngidi takes his place in Chennai XI.
