The Royal Challengers Bangalore have gotten off to a winning start in the 2020 Indian Premier League as they secured a 10-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 3 of the tournament. In the first innings, RCB posted a challenging 163/5 on the back of half-centuries from AB de Villiers and IPL debutant Devdutt Padikkal. RCB’s opening wicket stand put on 90 runs with Padikkal bringing up a half-century. Defending 164, RCB bowlers took wickets at regular intervals, especially in the second half of the SRH run chase, and finally bowled out their opponents for 153 in 19.4 overs. Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of RCB bowlers as he returned  figures of 3 for 18 in 4 overs. Chahal was ably supported by Shivam Dube (2-15) and Navdeep Saini (2-25).
